Our office is located at No 11 on West Pattamar Street. If you look across the road, you can see the North Tower, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. At R R Travels & Tickets, we spend our days helping people get their travel sorted. Whether it’s a bus ride or a train ticket, we just sit here and get the paperwork done. The street outside can get quite narrow and busy with shoppers and visitors, but that’s just Madurai for you. We have a small desk and a few chairs for people to sit while we look up schedules. It’s not a polished environment with glass walls; it’s just a regular shop where we do our work. We’ve been here long enough that the sounds of the city don’t really bother us anymore. Sometimes we have a queue of people out the door when it’s festival season. We try to be quick but sometimes the internet or the systems take their time. We don’t make big promises, we just try to find a seat for whoever needs one. It’s a simple life working near the North Tower. We see a lot of tourists and locals every day. Most of them are just looking for the easiest way to get from one place to another. We keep our logs and our pens ready and stay open until the work is finished for the day. No 11 is where we are, and we just keep it moving.
