Prema Selvam

Prema Selvam is located right on the Bye-Pass Road in Madurai. Our location is actually opposite Vanamamalai Nagar, inside the area of the Madurai Heart Centre. It’s a busy spot because of the hospital and all the people coming for their medical checkups. I’ve been based here for some time now. The traffic on the Bye-Pass Road never seems to stop, so there is always a hum of engines in the background. My workspace isn't very large. It’s a simple room that I’ve made comfortable with a few chairs and a sturdy table. Being near a medical center means things stay quite orderly and clean around here. People often get lost trying to find the exact entrance, so I tell them to just look for the Heart Centre landmark. It is much easier that way. The walls are a plain light blue and I have a few calendars hanging up to keep track of the days and months. I don't use any complicated software or systems. I prefer writing things down in a ledger or a notebook. It feels more reliable to me. Madurai is a city that stays awake late, but I usually wrap up my work by the evening. The local tea shops nearby are great for a quick snack when I need a break. It’s a decent place to work, even if the road noise is a bit much sometimes. It’s just how things are here in this part of town.
