First Fashions

We are over at 413 Seminary Line in Pasumalai, running First Fashions. It is a quiet enough area most days, which is nice for getting work done without too many distractions. We have been in this building for several years now. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we spend most of our time looking at the fabric rather than the decor. It is a straightforward business where we cut and sew clothes based on what is needed at the moment. Some of us have been working here since the start, so we know the routine inside out. We don’t have fancy titles or a human resources department. If there’s a problem, we just talk about it over lunch and figure it out. The Seminary Line location is a bit away from the main hustle, but we like it that way. Our work tables are heavy wood, and they've seen a lot of use over the years. We keep the windows open when the weather allows to get a bit of a breeze in while we work. It’s a lot of repetitive tasks, honestly, but there is a certain rhythm to it that feels right. We just keep our heads down and try to finish the stacks of clothes before the weekend comes. It’s a living, and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
