We spend most of our time here at No. 88 Rms Road in Pandy Bazar looking at tiny screens and small parts. It’s a busy spot and people are always coming in because they dropped their phone or the battery just won't hold a charge anymore. Sometimes it’s a quick fix and other times we have to tell them it’s going to take a day or two to get the right part delivered. The shop isn't huge but we make it work. There is always a lot of noise coming from the street outside and that's just how it is around here. We’ve been at this for a while now. You get used to the smell of solder and the way the lights flicker sometimes when the power isn't great. Most people just want their phone back so they can get on with their day. We don't have fancy chairs or a big waiting room because there isn't really space for that. Usually, people just stand by the counter and talk while we look at what's wrong. It’s a lot of repetitive work, opening up cases and cleaning out dust, but it keeps us occupied from morning until we close up at night. Pandy Bazar is always crowded so there is never a dull moment. We just try to get through the pile of repairs on the desk before it gets too late to see what we're doing.
