Mm Forgings Ltd is located out in the Melur area of Madurai. We are specifically at Thumbai Patti, and the post office is also right there. The business is run by Shajahan, who is the son of Shahul. It’s very much a local operation rooted in the community. Our address might seem a bit long to some, but it’s just the way things are marked here in Thamarai Patti. The forge is a place of hard work and heat. You won't find any air conditioning here. Instead, there’s the sound of metal and the smell of the workshop. We are surrounded by palm trees and fields, which is a nice change from the crowded city center of Madurai. We have been doing this for a long time, and the skills have been passed down. It’s not a shiny new factory with robots. It’s a place where we use our hands and old machines to get the forging done right. We wear heavy boots and work clothes that get dirty within the first hour of the day. For lunch, we usually sit in the shade of a tree and eat what we brought from home. It’s a tough job but we are proud of the work we do. We don't have a marketing department or a fancy brochure to show off. People know us by our name and the quality of the parts we make.
