Miyav Learning Pvt Ltd. operates out of a small space at 1/258A, Shanmugavel Nagar in Kathakinaru. It is not a large corporate office with a lobby or a receptionist; it is more of a practical workspace where we get things done. We have a few desks, some computers, and a lot of cables running along the floor. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it stays fairly quiet during the day except for the occasional delivery truck or a neighbor’s dog barking. We focus on putting together learning materials and managing the digital side of things. Most of the people working here are just trying to stay on top of their tasks and keep the servers running. We drink a lot of tea and spend a lot of time looking at screens. The office can get a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. We chose this spot in Kathakinaru because it was easier than dealing with the traffic in the middle of the city. There is a small shop down the street where we get snacks, and that’s about as exciting as it gets around here. We don't have a mission statement on the wall; we just have a to-do list that never seems to get any shorter. It is an honest, small-scale operation where we just try to do a good job with the tools we have and keep the bills paid.
