Gm Furnitures

You can find us over at 225 Good Shed Street. It’s a busy road with a lot of people moving back and forth, especially near the old sheds. Gm Furnitures is basically just a big room full of wood, saws, and the smell of varnish. We spend most of our days measuring boards or putting chairs together. It’s a dusty job, so we’re always covered in a bit of sawdust by the time evening rolls around. We don't have a showroom with bright lights and soft music. It’s more of a workshop where you can see things actually being made. Sometimes a customer comes in and asks for something specific, and we just draw it out on a piece of scrap wood to see if we’re on the same page. The street outside is noisy, but inside we just focus on the task at hand. We’ve been at 225 Good Shed Street for quite a while now, and we’ve seen the shops around us change hands many times. We just keep doing what we know. The coffee at the corner stall is what keeps us going through the long afternoons. It’s not a glamorous life, but there’s something nice about finishing a table and seeing it stand solid on the floor. We don't use fancy sales pitches. We just show people what we’ve built and let them decide for themselves if it’s what they need for their home.
