Our workshop is at 2/254 Narayanapuram. It’s a bit tucked away, and you might miss it if you aren’t looking. Inside, it’s mostly shelves filled with projects at different stages of being finished. We have sawdust in the corners and the smell of paint is pretty much constant. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear your nice clothes because everything here is a bit dusty. We spend our days cutting, sanding, and putting things together. Sometimes a piece doesn’t turn out right and we have to start over, which is just part of the process. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the tools. Most of the time, the radio is playing in the background while we work. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing person. If people want something made, they usually just show up at the door and we talk about it over a stool or a workbench. It’s a simple way of doing things, and it works for us. The lighting isn't great, but we know where everything is. When we finish something, we clear a bit of space on the floor to pack it up. It’s a slow pace compared to the city, but we get the work done. It’s just a regular art shop where things get built by hand. We keep the scrap wood in a pile out back for anyone who needs it.
