Mangal Kitchen Interiors

We are over at 11 Shanmuga Illam in S.V. Nagar. It's right by the S.S. Colony Bye Pass Road, so it's not too hard to get to if you're in the area. Mangal Kitchen Interiors is mostly just a few of us working with wood and tools all day. We spend a lot of time measuring spaces and trying to figure out how to make everything fit in a kitchen. It gets pretty noisy with the saws going, but that is how it is. Sometimes people just walk in to ask a question while we are in the middle of something. We don't mind. The shop has been here for a bit now. We keep our supplies in the back and the main work happens right in the front. There’s usually sawdust on the floor by noon. We try to sweep up, but it just comes back. It is a simple setup we have here. No big office or anything like that, just the workshop. Most days start early before the traffic on the Bye Pass Road gets too heavy. We take our time with the hinges and the finishes because if you rush, it looks bad. It is just a local business trying to get the job done right for the neighbors. We’ve seen the area change a lot lately, but we are still here at the same spot. We have a lot of scrap wood that we save for smaller things. Sometimes we drink tea out front while waiting for a delivery. It's a good way to stay in touch with people.
