Mahesh & Co.

Mahesh & Co. has been here at 4, West Veli Street for quite a while now. If you know the area, you know it’s right opposite the railway station, so it gets pretty loud with all the trains and people rushing around all day. We spend most of our time dealing with whatever comes through the door. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular office where we keep our books and handle the paperwork. Sometimes the tea stall next door is the highlight of the afternoon when things get slow. People stop by because they’re getting off a train or they live nearby in the neighborhood. We don’t really do much advertising because most folks just know where we are. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with the actual work to worry about that. It’s a small team here. We know each other's habits and how the day usually goes. Usually, the morning starts with opening the shutters and checking what needs to be done first. It’s just honest work. We don't have a big corporate philosophy or anything like that. We just show up, do what needs doing, and head home when the sun goes down. The station clock is usually how we tell the time anyway. It’s been this way for years and we don’t expect it to change much. Just a local spot on a busy street.
