Mahalakshmi Provision Store

We are located right near the old bus stand in Cholanandan Karahalli. It is a busy spot because of all the people coming and going from the buses. The store has been here for years, and it is mostly where locals come to get their rice, dal, and oil. The old bus stand isn't as crowded as it used to be, but there is still plenty of noise from the horns and the people shouting. Inside the shop, it's a bit cramped. We have sacks of grain sitting on the floor and rows of jars filled with candies and snacks for the kids. The ceiling fan hums all day, especially when it gets hot in the afternoon. We don't really do any advertising. People just know we are here. Most of the time, I am sitting behind the wooden counter, weighing out things on the scale. It is an old scale, but it works fine. Sometimes the bus drivers stop by for a quick smoke or a bottle of water. The village life is quiet otherwise. We keep the stock updated as much as we can, but sometimes we run out of things if the truck is late. Cholanandan Karahalli is a small place, so news travels fast if we get something new in. We just try to keep the basics in stock so nobody has to go too far. It is a simple life running a provision store near the station.
