Madhan Mobiles Times is located right on the Nh-7 in the Simmakkal area of Madurai. Being near the highway means it is always noisy and there is always dust, but that is just how it is here. We have been at this spot for quite a while now. Most people know the Simmakkal area as a busy hub, and we are right in the middle of it. We deal with mobile phones mostly, which means we see a lot of broken screens and battery issues every single day. The shop is small, and there is usually a crowd of people standing around waiting for their phones to be checked. It gets very warm in Madurai, as everyone knows, so we usually have the door open to catch whatever breeze there is from the road. We are just a local business trying to keep up with all the new phone models that come out every month. It feels like as soon as we learn how to fix one, a new one arrives. We don't do anything fancy with our shopfront. It’s just a counter, some tools, and a lot of spare parts in drawers. People stop by on their way through the city. We try to be quick because everyone is always in a hurry on the Nh-7. It is hard work, but we like being part of the local market scene here and seeing all the faces.
