Lily Mission Hospital

Lily Mission Hospital is right in the middle of KK Nagar. If you’ve spent any time in this part of town, you know it’s a lively spot with people moving around constantly. The hospital itself has been standing here for quite some years. It’s a busy building. We have nurses running back and forth, and there is always a bit of a queue at the front desk. The hallways are wide, but we often have extra beds or benches lined up when things get really crowded. It smells like cleaning fluid most of the time, which I guess is a good thing for a hospital. Our staff members are mostly locals who have been with us for a long time. We don't have those fancy digital screens everywhere; we mostly use whiteboards to track who is in which room. The fans on the ceiling hum all day long to keep the air moving. It gets hot in KK Nagar, so we try to keep the windows open when there is a breeze. People come here for all sorts of things, from small scrapes to bigger health issues. We just try to help everyone who walks through the doors as best as we can. It’s a lot of hard work and long shifts, but seeing someone go home feeling better is why we keep the lights on every night.
