If you are looking for Lakshmi Hospital, you’ll find us over in Chokkikulam. It’s a pretty busy area most of the time. The building is older, but it serves its purpose for everyone who lives in Chokkikulam and around it. I’ve worked here for a few years and the routine doesn't change much. We open up early, get the floors mopped, and make sure the files are in order. The street outside can get a bit crowded with parked scooters, so sometimes it's hard to find a spot right in front. Inside, the walls are painted a light color that’s peeling a little bit in the corners, but nobody really minds. We have a small staff and we all know each other well. We spend most of our day talking to patients and trying to keep things organized. It gets quite warm in the summer months, so the windows are usually open to catch a breeze. Sometimes kids are playing nearby and you can hear them from the rooms. It’s just a normal neighborhood place. We don’t have any big corporate rules, we just do the work that needs doing. Sometimes the water cooler runs out and we have to wait for the new bottles to arrive. Life moves at its own pace here in Chokkikulam. We aren't trying to be anything big, just a local hospital for the people living nearby and we hope they feel okay coming here when they have to.
