Kumaran Store

Kumaran Store has been a part of East Marret Street for a long time now. You can find us at 4/278-A, which is a spot most locals are familiar with. We aren’t a big supermarket or anything like that. It’s just a regular store where we sell what the neighborhood needs. The street outside is always full of life, with people walking by and scooters zooming past. It can get a bit loud, especially in the evenings, but that’s just the charm of East Marret Street. Inside, we try to keep things organized, but when a new shipment comes in, there are boxes everywhere and it takes us a day or two to get everything on the shelves properly. We know many of our customers by their first names because they’ve been coming here for years. It’s more than just a business to us; it’s where we spend our whole day. We don't have any fancy decorations or bright neon signs. It’s just a plain shop with a counter and shelves. Sometimes the roof leaks a little when the monsoon is particularly heavy, and we have to move things around quickly, but we manage. We aren’t trying to be the biggest store in town, just a reliable one for the people living nearby. We open early and stay until late, making sure we’re there when someone needs something. It’s a simple, busy life on this street.
