Krishna Minerals

We are over at 45, Amaravathi Nagar in Bodinayakanur. It’s a busy spot most days. My name is one of the guys here at Krishna Minerals. We mostly spend our time dealing with raw stones and earth materials. It gets pretty hot here in Bodinayakanur, but we keep at it. Usually, we start around eight in the morning when the sun isn't too high. There's a lot of dust, that’s just how the mineral business goes. We have a small yard where the trucks pull in and out. Most of the people working here live close by in the neighborhood. We don’t have fancy desks or anything. It's just a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the loads are right. Sometimes the machinery acts up, and we have to spend half the morning fixing a belt or a motor. That’s life here. If you walk down Amaravathi Nagar, you’ll see our gate. It’s nothing special to look at, just a place of work. We’ve been at this address for a while now. Some days are slow, others we can't even find time to sit for lunch. We usually get tea from the shop down the road around four o’clock. It’s a simple routine we follow every day. We don’t talk much about goals or big plans, we just focus on the orders we have for the day. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills for the families involved. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
