Koodal Garments

Koodal Garments is a small setup located at No. 5/498 in Angel Nagar, which is part of the Athikulam area. We mostly do sewing and garment assembly. It’s a busy place with several sewing machines going at once. We handle basic clothing items, mainly working for larger orders that come in from the city. The space is a bit cramped because of all the fabric scraps and boxes waiting to be shipped. We don't have a big storefront or anything fancy like that. Most of our work is done in the back room where the light is better for the tailors. It gets quite humid in Athikulam during the summer, so we have a few fans going to keep the workers comfortable. We've been here for a few years now. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, which is nice. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a batch of shirts or trousers if a deadline is coming up. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop around, just one that does honest work. Most people find us through local contacts and word of mouth. We check every piece before it goes into a box, though occasionally a loose thread gets through. It’s just how it is when you’re working with your hands all day. We start early in the morning and usually wrap up by evening unless there is a rush. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills.
