Our office in Kanti is right by the East Government Hospital, which is a landmark everyone in Muzaffarpur knows. We are located in Prakash Market on National Highway 28, so there is a constant stream of trucks and buses roaring past the front door all day long. The dust from the highway is something we just have to live with, and we are always wiping down the desks to keep things looking decent. It is a busy spot in Bihar, and being so close to the hospital means there are always people moving around outside. Inside the office, things are pretty straightforward. We have our files, our computers, and a small area where we can sit and talk about what needs to be done. It is not a big corporate headquarters, just a local branch where we handle the day-to-day requirements. The power can be a bit temperamental in this area, but we have a backup generator to keep the lights on so we don't fall behind. Most of the people working here are from around the Muzaffarpur area, so we speak the local language and know the shortcuts to avoid the NH-28 traffic jams. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe our work. We just come in, check the logs, answer the calls, and try to make sure everything is in order before we head home for the evening. It’s a simple routine.
