Jeyam Bags

Our place, Jeyam Bags, is at number 9 in Bharthi Nagar, right on the Muthu Patty Main Road. This part of Alagappa Nagar stays busy from early morning until late at night. We’ve got a small storefront that opens right onto the main road, so we get a lot of dust and noise from the passing buses and trucks. Inside the shop, it’s mostly just shelves full of bags and a small area where we handle the paperwork and sales. We don’t have a lot of space, so we have to be careful about how we stack things. Sometimes a pile of bags will tip over and we have to spend time putting them all back. The floor is just tile, and we try to sweep it every morning, but it’s hard to keep it clean with people coming in and out from the road. We’ve got a few workers who help out with the heavy lifting when new shipments come in. It’s a straightforward business. We show up, open the shutters, and see who comes by. The Muthu Patty Main Road is a good spot because everyone passes through here eventually. We don't spend much on making the place look pretty; we just make sure we have enough stock on the shelves. It’s a lot of standing around and talking to customers or checking the items that come in from the makers. It’s just our daily life here.
