J D & Company

If you head toward the Azhagar Temple and look for North Street, you’ll find us at 3/222. That’s where J D & Company is based, in Melathulukkankulam. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the city, which we like. The business started out small and hasn't really changed that much in terms of how we do things. We’ve got our workspace set up in a way that makes sense for us. It might look a little messy to someone from the outside, but we know where everything is. Being near the temple means we get a lot of people passing through. We’ve got a few workers who handle the day-to-day tasks. Most of us are from around here, so we know the locals. We aren't trying to be some big corporation. We just want to do our work and go home to our families. The building itself is older, but it serves its purpose. We keep our tools and materials organized enough to get through the day's tasks. Sometimes we sit outside on the benches when the weather is nice. It’s a humble place, and we don't put on any acts. If you need something, you just walk up and ask. We handle things one day at a time. It’s been our way for years and it works for us. We just keep our heads down and do the job.
