Frank Book Shop

Frank Book Shop is in a bit of a strange spot if you aren't familiar with the Milan'Em Mall. You have to go to the ground floor of the Vishaal De Mal section on Theni Main Road. Once you get to the food court, you have to look inside the Bell Jumbo Restaurant. That is where we are located. It’s a small shop tucked right into the corner there. Because we are inside a restaurant area, it always smells like food, and there is a lot of noise from people eating and chatting. It’s not the typical quiet bookstore you might expect. We have books stacked up wherever they will fit. Sometimes we have to move a pile of novels just to get to the register. We get all kinds of people coming in. Some are just waiting for their food and decide to browse, while others come specifically looking for a certain title. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are in the shop at once. We don't have any fancy displays or bright neon signs. We just have the books and a little desk where we sit. Most of the time we are busy organizing the stock or helping someone find a gift. It can get a bit chaotic during the dinner rush, but we’ve gotten used to the energy of the mall. It’s a unique place to work, even if it’s a bit small and the air conditioning can get a little too cold.
