Harshitha Hospital

Our hospital is located over on East Mada Street in Madurai Ho. We are right across from where the Old Chinadhamani Theatre used to be, which is how most of the older locals describe our location. It is a corner of town that has changed quite a bit, but we have been right here on 4th Cross Street for a long time. The building has several floors and we have rooms for patients who need to stay overnight for observation. It is a busy place with nurses and ward boys constantly moving around the halls. We do not have those fancy automated systems you see in the big city hospitals; we still do a lot of things the old-fashioned way with paper charts and face-to-face talk. It gets loud sometimes, especially during the visiting hours when the whole family shows up to see someone. We try to manage the flow of people as best as we can. Our doctors are usually locals themselves who understand the people living around here. We handle everything from minor scrapes to more complicated medical issues. It is a lot of responsibility keeping a hospital running day and night, but we have got a good team that sticks together. The equipment is reliable and we make sure it stays that way for everyone. We are not trying to be the biggest hospital in Madurai, just a dependable one for the folks who live on these streets.
