Grace Kennett Foundation Hospital

We are over at 8 Kennett Road. It’s a busy spot most days. We spend a lot of time walking these halls. The building has some years on it, but it does what it needs to do. Most people find us easily enough because everyone around here knows the road. We see all sorts of folks coming through the front doors. Some are worried, some are just here for a quick check. We keep the files organized and try to make sure the waiting area isn't too crowded, though it happens sometimes when it rains or during the flu season. The staff mostly lives nearby, so we see each other at the shops too. It’s not a fancy place with shiny new glass everywhere, but it’s solid. We deal with the usual hospital things—doctors running late, the smell of cleaning supplies, and the sound of the trolleys moving around. Sometimes the power flickers, but we have backups for that. It’s just how it is working in a place like this. We don’t have much time for sitting around. Usually, someone is always asking for directions or a specific room number. We just keep things moving along day by day. It’s a job that keeps you on your feet, and after a while, you get used to the rhythm of the place. We’ve seen kids grow up and come back as adults. It is just a part of the neighborhood now.
