Gowsika Machine Tools

So, Gowsika Machine Tools is over at No: 177 in Rajivgandhi Nagar, which is part of the Ulaganeri area. We’ve been set up here for quite some time now, mostly dealing with various types of machine tools and equipment. The shop is usually a bit of a mess with bits and pieces of metal scattered around the floor, but we know where everything is. It’s a family-run thing, so there’s always someone around to help if a customer stops by with a question. We don’t really do much online stuff, we prefer talking to people face to face right here at the counter. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we first opened, but the work we do is pretty much the same as it always was. We fix things, we sell a few parts, and we try to help out the smaller workshops around Ulaganeri when their equipment breaks down. It's dusty work, and my clothes are always stained with something or other by the end of the shift. We usually start early in the morning before the sun gets too high because it gets pretty stuffy inside the workshop. There’s a tea shop next door where we take our breaks and talk about the news or the weather. We aren't trying to become a giant corporation, we just want to do a decent job for the people who come to us. It’s a steady rhythm of work that keeps us going through the week.
