Fluffy Cake

Fluffy Cake is tucked away at Shop No 32 in Seethalakshmi Nagar. We’re over in Kalai Nagar West, which is a nice enough spot to work in every day. Most of the time, the place smells like flour and sugar, which isn't a bad way to spend your time. It’s a small bakery, and things can get pretty hectic when we have a lot of orders piled up on the counter. We aren't a big chain with a corporate office or anything. It’s just us in the kitchen getting flour on our aprons and trying not to burn anything. Sometimes the ovens act up, or we run out of something we need, but we figure it out. It’s not always perfect. The floor usually has a bit of sugar on it by the afternoon. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or professional photos. What you see is what you get when you walk in. We’ve been at this for a while now, and the neighbors seem to know us by now. It’s hard work, standing on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. We don’t have a long history or some grand vision for the future. We just like baking things and seeing people walk out with a box in their hand. Seethalakshmi Nagar is a quiet place mostly, and we fit right in with the rest of the shops. Just a local place making cakes for whoever wants them.
