Essar Windows is located at No. 7 Ahimsapuram 2nd Street in the Sellur area. It’s a lively neighborhood where the streets are filled with all sorts of small businesses. Our shop is right on the 2nd street, and you can’t miss it if you’re looking for the number 7. It’s a practical workshop space more than a fancy office. We have our tools and materials stacked up against the walls. The floor is made of hard concrete to handle the weight of the windows and frames we move around. Sellur is a place that never really stays quiet. There’s always the sound of scooters and people talking outside. We don't have a big air-conditioned showroom or glossy brochures. We just show people the actual work we’re doing on the benches. Ahimsapuram 2nd Street is narrow, so things can get a bit cramped when we have a delivery coming in. We’ve been here for a good number of years now. The neighbors are mostly other local craftsmen and shopkeepers. We all know each other by name. Our office part is just a small desk in the corner where we keep our bills and records. It’s a bit dusty because of the work, but that’s just how it goes in this trade. We open the shutters early in the morning and work until the evening light starts to fade. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living.
