Deepam Poly Packs is situated in Vandiur, very close to the Ayyanar Theater. If you’re looking for us, the theater is the best landmark to use. We make various kinds of poly packaging here. It’s a fairly straightforward operation. We have a few machines that handle the cutting and sealing. The space isn’t very large, so we have to be careful with how we stack the finished rolls. Vandiur is a decent area, though it can get busy when there’s a popular movie playing nearby. Sometimes the traffic makes it hard for our delivery vans to pull out. We’ve got a small group of staff who handle everything from running the machines to talking to the customers who walk in. Most of our business comes from the local shops and small vendors who need bags or wrapping materials. We don't use any complicated systems, just old-fashioned hard work and keeping track of things in our ledgers. The shop floor is usually busy from morning until evening. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a while and know many of the shop owners around here. It’s a simple life, just making sure the packs are made right and the counts are correct. There’s no big corporate strategy here, just a local business trying to stay steady and keep the machines running. We try to keep our prices fair so the local vendors can keep coming back. It's a small place, but we keep it humming.
