C A V Enterprises

If you go down Purasaradi Road in Avaniyapuram, you will find us at number 7. C A V Enterprises has been sitting on this corner for a good while now. It’s a simple brick building, nothing that really stands out if you are just driving past. We handle a variety of things here, mostly stuff related to local trade and supplies for the area. The front door is a bit heavy and clicks loudly every time it shuts. Inside, the air smells a bit like old paper and whatever we happened to be moving around that morning. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who have been working together for years. We know the neighbors well and often chat with folks passing by on the street when the weather is nice. It’s a quiet enough area, though it gets a bit loud when the local buses go past our front window. We keep a big ledger on the main counter to track everything, even though some of the younger guys keep trying to get me to use a computer for every little thing. I still prefer the old way of writing things down. The shelves are getting a bit old and they sag in the middle, but they hold what they need to. We spend most of our time organizing orders and making sure the inventory is where it belongs. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday morning until Saturday evening.
