Aravind Eye Hospital

This is the Aravind Eye Hospital over in Madurai, specifically at 1 Anna Nagar. We are right in the middle of the Anna Nagar area, which is a place that stays pretty busy no matter what time of day it is. Madurai is known for being a bit hot, so we try to keep the inside of the hospital as comfortable as we can for the people who come in. Being at number 1 is easy to remember. The streets around here are always filled with scooters and people walking to the local shops. We have been doing eye work here for quite some time. The building is just a regular part of the neighborhood now. People know us as the eye place in Anna Nagar. We do not have a lot of big advertisements or anything like that. We just open up in the morning and start seeing the patients who have appointments or just walk in. The waiting room is usually full by nine o'clock. It is a bit of a small space when it gets crowded, but we make it work. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know the routine pretty well. It is just a normal day of checking vision and talking to the folks from around Madurai. We are glad to be at this Anna Nagar spot because it is easy for everyone to get to. 1 Anna Nagar is where we stay.
