If you are looking for us, we are right near the Mattuthavani Bus Stand on Lake View Road. It is a very active area in K K Nagar. You can always hear the buses pulling in and out, which helps people find us if they are coming from out of town. The building at No 20 Lake View Road has been part of the landscape for a good bit of time. We have a lot of stairs and hallways to keep track of. The staff spends most of the day on their feet. We don’t really do fancy marketing stuff here. We just have a hospital to run. Some days the lobby is packed with families, and other days it is strangely quiet. We try to keep the water cooler filled and the fans going when it gets humid. Being near the bus stand means we get a lot of people who are just passing through or who have traveled a long way. We understand they are tired when they get here. The view of the lake is nice if you are on the upper floors, though we usually are too busy to look out the window much. It’s a solid building that does what it’s supposed to do. We handle the paperwork, we see the patients, and we go home. It is a very local kind of life here in K K Nagar. The neighbors know us, and we know the neighborhood well.
