We are based out of the Sidco Industrial Estate in Kappalur. Our unit is B-8 12. If you know the estate, you know it’s a place where things actually get made. We focus on weaving. The sound of the machines is pretty much the soundtrack to our day. It’s a bit noisy, but you get used to it after a few years of working here. We spend our time watching the looms and making sure the threads are moving right. It’s a lot of staring at fabric to catch any mistakes before they get too far. Kappalur is an industrial hub, so we’re surrounded by other businesses doing similar hard work. We don't have a corporate office in a skyscraper. We’re right there on the floor with the equipment. Our team is local, mostly people from around the area who know how to handle these machines. Sometimes a loom breaks down and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing it with greasy hands. That’s just part of the job. We aren't trying to impress anyone with fancy talk. We just produce the material and get it ready for transport. It’s honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. The estate is a busy place, and we’re just one part of the machinery that keeps it all running. We like the feeling of finishing a long roll of cloth at the end of a shift.
