Amirtha Impex

Amirtha Impex is located at 6 Somasundaram Apts. in S.S. Colony. Since we’re in an apartment building, it feels a lot more like a home than a cold office. We’ve converted the rooms into workspaces with desks and computers. S.S. Colony is a nice area in Madurai, and it’s usually pretty busy with people going about their business. Our day-to-day work involves a lot of coordinating for our import-export business. We spend a lot of time on the balcony during breaks just to get some fresh air and watch the street. It’s a modest setup, nothing like those big glass offices you see in the movies. We have a few cupboards for all our files and a small kitchen where we make coffee. Most of the time, it’s just the sound of keyboards clicking and the occasional phone ringing. We don’t have a big reception desk or a sign out front that’s lit up at night. People who need to find us usually know where we are. Dealing with international trade from a residential apartment has its quirks, like when the neighbor’s kids are playing outside, but we like the atmosphere. It’s a lot of checking documents and making sure everything is in order before we send it off. We just try to stay on top of things and keep our work moving along without making a big deal out of it. It is just our normal daily routine.
