If you head down to Villa Puram Housing Board, you’ll find us on the ground floor at No. 3113. We are right on EB Road, which is pretty easy to spot since the Electric Board Office is just a stone's throw away. This part of Solai Alagupuram is always moving, and we are right in the middle of it at Mass Tex Fashion. Our shop isn't anything spectacular to look at from the outside, but inside we are always busy with something. There are stacks of clothes and rolls of material everywhere you look. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes when we have a lot of stock coming in. We spend our hours cutting, sewing, and checking the quality of whatever we are making. The machines hum all day long. Sometimes the power goes out, which is ironic being so close to the EB office, but we just wait it out and get back to it. It’s a family-style environment here where everyone knows what their job is. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and you're right in the workspace. It can be loud and a bit dusty from the threads, but that’s just how it is in this line of work. We’ve grown used to the rhythm of the street and the people walking by. It's just a practical place where we make clothes and try to stay on schedule. There is always something that needs finishing.
