Our office is situated at 3/60 in Kalimangalam, right here in Madurai. It’s a straightforward setup in a part of town that we’ve grown very fond of over the years. Al Waha Engineering Consultants isn't a big, flashy name with a huge headquarters. We just have this one spot where we keep all our tools and papers. The building is a bit older, so it has some character, like the way the door creaks when you open it. We don't have a receptionist sitting at the front, so if you come in, you might have to shout a hello to get someone’s attention from the back room. The heat in Madurai can be something else, so we keep the fans going at full speed most of the day. It’s a very local operation, and most of the guys working here grew up nearby. We spend our mornings going over technical drawings and our afternoons usually involve at least one trip out to a site. We don't use a lot of big words or try to act like we’re more important than we are. It’s just about getting the engineering right and making sure the math adds up. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is close, but usually, we’re out the door by evening. It’s a simple, hardworking life in a simple, hardworking office. We like the quiet pace of Kalimangalam.
