You can find us at 89, Madikeri Main Road, right in the middle of Virajpet. Being on the main road means there is always noise and people moving around, which keeps us on our toes. Om Sai Trading Company is really just a bunch of us working in a warehouse-style space. We handle a lot of different goods, mostly trading whatever is in demand locally. It’s not the most glamorous job, moving boxes and checking ledgers all day, but it’s what we do. We’ve been at this address for a good number of years. The building is nothing special, just a sturdy place to keep our stock dry and safe. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Usually, word travels from person to person about what we have in stock. The mornings are usually the busiest when the trucks arrive from Madikeri. We have to be quick to unload so we don't block the road too much. Sometimes things get a little disorganized when a big shipment comes in, but we eventually sort it out. We aren't a corporate giant; we’re just local people trying to make a living. We value the relationships we’ve built with the shopkeepers nearby. It’s a lot of manual labor and long hours on our feet. But at the end of the day, seeing the shelves empty out means we did our job right. It is hard work, but we are satisfied with how things are.
