Chickpet is a crazy place to work, but it’s where we’ve been at 63-6-5 for quite some time now. Being so close to the Town Hall makes it easy for people to find us, even with all the narrow lanes and the crowds. We handle all sorts of plastic products. Our space isn't huge, so we have to be smart about how we stack things up to the ceiling. It’s always a bit of a squeeze when customers come in. Most of the time, we’re busy sorting through orders or talking to people who need specific items for their own shops. The heat can get pretty bad in the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and carry on. We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go in Chickpet, but we’ve managed to stay put. It’s a noisy neighborhood with bells ringing and people calling out, but you get used to it after a week or two. We don't bother with any big advertisements. People just know we are here and stop by when they need something. It’s a lot of manual labor, lifting bags and moving containers around all day. It’s just how we do things here. We open early to beat the worst of the traffic, and that seems to work out okay for us. Sometimes we have to share our space with the delivery guys who are just trying to get through the narrow door. It is always a bit of a scramble to get everything organized.
