Our clinic is in the Ganga Complex on Jagnani Road, which is in Ward Number 11 here in Nirmali. It is a fairly straightforward place to find once you get into the main market area. The complex has a few different shops and businesses, so there is always a bit of activity around the entrance. We have been operating out of this space for a while now. The rooms inside are simple with wooden benches for people to sit on while they wait to be seen. You can usually smell the different herbs and oils as soon as you walk through the door, which is common for a place like ours. We don't have any of those big fancy machines; instead, we have jars of powders and various traditional preparations on the shelves. The doctor spends a lot of time talking to people about their daily habits and what they eat. It’s a quiet kind of place compared to the noisy street outside. Sometimes the rain makes a lot of noise on the roof during the monsoon, but otherwise, it is peaceful. We have a small ledger where we write down all the appointments by hand. Most of our patients live nearby in the neighborhood and just walk over when they need something. We try to keep the space clean and welcoming without making it look too clinical or cold for the folks who visit.
