Mocha

We are located in Village Madhpur, near Bardaha in the Madhubani district of Bihar. It is a quiet rural area, quite different from the big cities. Life here moves a bit slower than in Patna or Delhi. Our place is part of the local community, and we have been here for a good while. The surroundings are mostly fields and traditional houses. It is a simple building where we carry out our daily activities. We do not have fancy paved roads right to the doorstep, and sometimes it gets a bit muddy when the monsoons come to Bihar. Most of the people who work here are from the nearby villages. We spend our time managing the local operations, whatever needs doing that day. It might be coordinating with farmers or just keeping the site running. There is no big corporate office feel here; it is more like a family-run setup. We sit together for lunch and talk about the local news. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts, so we have a small generator that makes a lot of noise. It is just part of living in rural Madhubani. We have got a small porch where we sit in the evenings to discuss the next day's tasks. The air is fresh and you can hear the birds, which is a nice change from the city noise. We just do our work and talk to the people who walk in.
