Mishra Institute Of Information Technology - Miit

This place, Mishra Institute Of Information Technology, or just Miit as most of the locals call it, is over in Keoti-Ranway. We've been teaching computer stuff here for a while now. It isn't a huge university with glass buildings or fancy logos, just a few small rooms where we set up some computers for the students who live nearby. People come here to learn the basics, like how to use a keyboard or how to navigate the software that’s needed for getting a decent job these days. Some of the machines we use are a bit older, but they work just fine for what we are doing. I spend a lot of my day showing kids how to open files or type up simple documents for their schoolwork. It gets very noisy when a full class is in session, everyone clicking their mice and asking three questions at the same time. We don't have any glossy brochures to hand out. Most people hear about us from their cousins or friends who took a course here a few months ago. The power goes out sometimes, and we just have to sit and wait it out or talk about the theory until the lights come back on again. It’s really important for folks in Keoti-Ranway to have a local spot where they can get comfortable with technology without feeling like it's too much for them. We try our best to keep the benches clean and the screens wiped down.
