HMRD Nidhi Limited is situated in Ward No. 9, right in the middle of Mahadeomath village. We are part of the Laukahi block in Madhubani, which is a place where everyone knows everyone else’s business. Our office is in the Tola area, and it is really just a simple room that we have fixed up. We don't have any big company branding or anything like that. People know us by our names rather than the company name half the time. As a Nidhi, we only work with our own members from the local panchayat. It is a very old way of doing things, but it still works well for us here in Bihar. We take in small deposits and help out when a member needs a bit of cash for something important. The paperwork is all done by hand in big registers. It can be a little tedious, and sometimes we make a mistake and have to scratch it out and start over, but that is just part of it. We are not some big institution from the city. We are just villagers helping other villagers. When the harvest is good, things are busy, and when it’s not, we all feel it. We just try to be a steady presence in Mahadeomath. There is no need for anything fancy when you are just dealing with your neighbors and friends every single day.
