About Hanuman Rice Mill – Food & Beverages in Madhubani
The machines at Hanuman Rice Mill make a lot of noise, but that’s just how it goes when you’re processing grain. We are located in Baidyanath, right near the main road and close to the Rampur post office. It’s a noisy, dusty job, but we’ve been at it for a long time. Farmers bring their paddy here, and we run it through the hullers. It’s not a polished corporate office; it’s a working mill with heavy equipment and bags piled up to the ceiling. We spend most of our time wearing old clothes because of the husks flying around. The main road is right there, so trucks are always pulling in and out, which keeps things moving. My cousins and I take turns watching the machines to make sure nothing gets stuck. When the harvest is in, we stay late into the night, sometimes eating our dinner right there on the platform. The weather affects how the rice dries, so we are always looking at the sky. It is honest work, and it keeps us busy throughout the year. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know to come find us by the sound of the engines. We try to keep the courtyard tidy, but with so much grain moving around, it’s a constant battle with the broom. It’s just what we do here in Rampur, day in and day out. We just keep working until the last farmer is satisfied and the sun goes down.
