Foxnut Construction is a small business located in the village of Pilakhawar. We are in the Rajnagar block of Madhubani. Our office is actually located at the residence of Murlidhar Jha. It’s a quiet place compared to the cities, surrounded by fields and local houses. We do construction work in and around this area. Since we are based in a village, our way of working is very direct. We know the people we are building for and they know us. There isn’t a lot of formality here. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room. If you need us, you just come by and we talk. Sometimes we are out on a site all day, so the office stays empty for a bit. The roads in Madhubani can be tough during the rainy season, but we manage to get our materials and workers where they need to be. We handle everything from planning to the actual building process. It’s hard work, especially when the sun is really hot, but it’s what we do. We aren't a big firm with fancy brochures. We just rely on the fact that we do our work and people see it. Being part of the community here is important to us. We’ve been operating from this spot for a while now and we don't see that changing anytime soon. It’s just a simple, local operation trying to do good work.
