Chatra Buildcon Private Limited is located over in Babhne Panchayat, specifically at House Number 4 in Pratappru. We operate out of the space provided by Bhola Prasad, who has been around this area forever. It’s a quiet spot most of the time, unless we have a big delivery of bricks coming in. Working in a village setting like this is different from the big cities. You know everyone and everyone knows your business. We focus on building projects around the panchayat and the neighboring areas. It’s a lot of manual labor and coordinating with people who have lived here their whole lives. The roads around Pratappru aren't always the best for heavy trucks, so we have to plan things out carefully so we don't get stuck in the mud during the monsoon season. We don't have a website or any of that fancy stuff; we just have our office and our tools. Sometimes we sit out front and talk to the neighbors about what needs fixing in the village. Dealing with land issues and getting the right materials at a fair price is what fills up most of my days. It’s not a glamorous job, but seeing a house go up from nothing is a good feeling. We just try to do right by the local folks and keep the business moving along one brick at a time. It’s a slow process but it works for us. Most evenings we just close up early when the sun goes down.
