A-One Acedemy

A-One Acedemy is right there at Shivnagarghat Chowk in Darbhanga. It is in the same general area as a lot of other local shops and small businesses. We have a few rooms that we use for teaching. The desks are made of heavy wood and they have lasted us a long time. We do not have air conditioning, so we just use the breeze from the windows and some older fans to keep the air moving. It works well enough for us. I spend most of my time looking after the paperwork or talking to parents who stop by to check on things. There is no large neon sign outside, just a simple board so you know you have found the right door. The floor is tiled, though a few of them have cracks from years of use. It gives the place a bit of a lived-in feel. We have piles of books in the corner because we sometimes run out of space on the shelves. The students who come here are mostly from the nearby families who walk or ride their bikes over. It is very quiet in the morning before the day really gets started. I have always liked the smell of paper and ink that hangs in the air here. We do not use any high-tech gadgets, just markers and whiteboards. It is a very traditional setup and we like it that way.
