Shanti Netre Rog Clinic

Down in Belanawada, Bihar, you’ll find our little clinic. We mostly focus on eye problems here, which is what Shanti Netre Rog Clinic is all about. It’s not a big hospital with hundreds of beds. Instead, it’s a smaller place where people come when their vision isn't what it used to be. We have been in Belanawada for a good while, and we’ve seen many of the local families grow up. The clinic is simple. We have a waiting room with some benches and a few rooms for exams. It gets pretty hot during the summer, so we have fans going all day long. People come from the surrounding villages to see us. Sometimes they travel a long way on a bus or a bike. We try to see everyone as quickly as we can, but eye exams can take a bit of time. We don't have a big corporate office or anyone telling us how to run things. We just do what we know how to do. The equipment we use is what we need to get the job done. We don't have any fancy ads in the newspapers. People just tell their neighbors about us when they can see better after a visit. It’s a quiet life here in Bihar, and we are just happy to have a place where we can help people with their eyes. That is really the whole story.
