Sapthsathi Organic Agri Export

Up here in South Coorg, the air is always a bit fresher than it is down in the plains. Our place is near Madikeri High School in the village. It is a beautiful area, but it can be a bit of a struggle when the heavy rains start. We are doing organic agri work, so we spend a lot of time worrying about the weather and how it affects the crops. The warehouse is near Ponnampet, and we spend our days moving bags of produce and making sure everything is dried and stored correctly for export. You can hear the students from the high school laughing and talking as they walk home in the afternoon. It is a very green place to work, surrounded by trees and the sounds of the birds. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning. We just have a sturdy building with a tin roof that sounds like a drum when it rains. The smell of dried spices and organic grains is always in the air. We work at a steady pace because you can't really rush nature. People in the village know us well, and we often share a cup of coffee with the local growers who bring their harvest to us. It is a lot of physical labor, lifting and stacking, but being in Coorg makes the hard work feel a little bit easier.
