You can find us in Target Bazar, specifically at the Mz-02/15 C-3/180A spot in Chanmari-Iii. Lunglei is a hilly place, and being right in the middle of the bazaar means there is always noise and movement outside our door. It’s a lively atmosphere. Our foundation works out of a small space that we’ve managed to organize over the years. It’s a bit of a maze getting through the market sometimes, but once you’re here, it’s a familiar routine. We have some wooden shelves for our supplies and a few desks that have seen better days. We don’t worry much about the paint on the walls or having the newest gadgets. We just focus on the people who come to see us and the welfare work that needs doing. The local shopkeepers are our neighbors, so we hear all the gossip and the daily news just by stepping outside. It’s a busy environment, and sometimes it feels like there isn’t enough time in the day to get through everything. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background while we work. It’s just the way things are in Mizoram. We take our breaks when we can and get back to the files. It’s honest work, and we don’t feel the need to dress it up with big words. We just try to keep things moving forward in the way we can every single day.
