Pragnesh Namkeens

Pragnesh Namkeens is located in Limkheda on Zalod Road. We are very easy to spot because we are right near the Bank of Baroda ATM. This is where we make all our snacks. We have a small kitchen area in the back with big iron pans and gas burners. We fry things like sev, papdi, and different types of namkeen mixtures every day. The smell of the spices and oil usually fills the whole street. The front of the shop is where we have all the packets lined up. We use simple plastic packaging and labels we print ourselves. It’s a family business, so you’ll usually see me or my cousin behind the counter. We don't have a big staff or a fancy cooling system, so it gets pretty warm inside when the frying is going on. People from the neighborhood stop by on their way home to pick up snacks for tea. We keep our prices low because we know our customers. Sometimes the floor gets a bit slippery from the oil, so we are always cleaning it. We don't have a website or do any social media. We just rely on the people who walk past our door on Zalod Road. It’s a lot of work to keep everything fresh, but we like seeing the same people come back every week. We just do our best to keep the containers full.
