Shyam Rubber Industries

Our place is out on Sua Road in Village Gobindgarh. We are tucked right near the railway crossing, actually between two of them if you count the Jugiana one. You can’t miss the sound of the trains passing by every hour; the whole building vibrates a little bit when the heavy ones go through. We work with rubber here, so the smell is quite strong. Most people find it overwhelming at first, but we don't even notice it anymore. The village is a bit quieter than the main city, but the area around the tracks is always busy with trucks and people waiting for the gates to open. Our building at 2185 is an old one. The walls have some cracks and the roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains really hard, but it’s our home for the business. We make various rubber parts and pieces. It’s sticky, hot work especially when the machines are running. We have a small crew and we’ve all been together for a long time. We eat our lunch together near the back door where there’s a bit of a breeze. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy letters. We just focus on getting the rubber cured and the parts shipped out before the next train comes by and blocks the road again.
