Victoria Nidhi Limited

Victoria Nidhi Limited is located right near the Raikot bus stand on the Barnala side. If you go up to the second floor of the building at 425/1, you will find our office there. It is a very busy spot with people coming and going from the buses all day long. We started this because folks in Raikot and the Ludhiana area needed a place to sort out their small savings and help each other out with money when things get tight. It is just a few rooms where we keep our papers and talk to neighbors. Sometimes the stairs are a bit much if you are carrying heavy bags, but we like being central where everyone passes by anyway. We handle the usual business stuff, keeping track of things manually and on the computer. It isn't a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. Just some desks, chairs, and a fan that works most of the time. People stop in after getting off the bus to ask questions or drop off a bit of cash for their accounts. We have been here for a while now, watching the shops change around us. Dealing with local money is mostly about knowing who you are talking to and being there when the doors open in the morning. We do not have any big speeches to give. We just open up, do the books, and help out the people who walk in. It is a plain way to run a business.
